What we collect

Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, phone number, email address, suburb (optional), the service you need and your project description.

Quote forms. When you request a door replacement or installation quote, we also receive your suburb, the details of the work you choose to give us (such as the number of doors, drawer fronts or cabinets, your preferred finish, where your cabinetry is from and the installation you need), and any photos you choose to upload. Our website removes hidden location and camera data from photos and resizes them before they are sent to us. Please avoid including people or personal documents in photos.

Direct contact. If you phone, email or message us on Instagram, we receive the details you choose to share.

Website use. Our hosting provider records technical information about each visit, such as your IP address, the page requested and your browser type, to deliver the website and keep it secure.

Please do not send sensitive information (such as health information) through our forms.

Cookies, browser storage and spam protection

• The website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels.
• On larger screens, the website remembers whether you collapsed the side menu. This setting is stored only in your own browser and is not used to identify you.
• To block spam, our forms include a hidden field that people do not see, and they check how long the form took to complete.
• To prevent repeated submissions, our server keeps the IP address used to send an enquiry briefly in memory (normally no more than about 10 minutes). Our website never saves it to a file or database.

How we use your information

We use your enquiry details to respond to you, prepare quotations and communicate with you about your project. We do not use them for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we do not sell personal information.

Service providers and where information is processed

Your enquiry, including any photos, is sent securely (HTTPS) from our website to our email delivery provider, which delivers it as an email to a private inbox we use for website enquiries. The website itself does not keep enquiries or photos in a database or on its server. We use the following providers. They handle information for us under their published terms, and some of them store or process it outside Australia.

• Resend (Resend, Inc., United States). Delivers enquiries from our website forms, including any photos, to our inbox. Emails from our domain are sent through Resend's Tokyo, Japan sending region. Resend stores account data, email metadata and logs in the United States. It keeps copies of sent emails and delivery logs for a limited period under its data retention policy.
• Gmail (Google). Hosts the private inbox where website enquiries are delivered and kept. Stored in Google's data centres, which may be outside Australia.
• Google Workspace (Google). Hosts our business email (info@plumajoinery.com) for direct emails and our replies. Stored in Google's data centres, which may be outside Australia.
• Railway (Railway Corporation, United States). Hosts the website. Website servers and request logs (which can include IP addresses) may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. Railway keeps request logs for a limited period.

How long we keep information

• Enquiries that do not proceed: we review them after 12 months and delete records we no longer need, unless we must keep them to meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
• Accepted projects: kept as part of the records for that job.
• Business records: kept for as long as the law requires. For example, tax records are generally kept for five years.

Your choices

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we do not need to keep it. You can always contact us by phone or email instead of using the form.
